If you caught my original Windows XP Wall video, you know the story. I turned a wall in my cabin studio into a full Windows XP Bliss mural. It was personal. It was nostalgic. And honestly, it took a while to tell the whole story.
So I made a shorter version.
Why Windows XP Still Matters
2026 marks 25 years since Windows XP launched. For a few of us older guys/gals in tech, that operating system was the beginning of everything. It was the first time stability, security, and a beautiful interface came together in one package. For me personally, XP started what I call the confidence-competence loop. Every problem I fixed built my confidence. Every new skill I picked up made me more competent.
That loop eventually grew confidence to take on many things I never thought I'd be able to do. Start my own IT business, "homestead" 30 acres, raise a family (of gamers 😜), and start this YouTube channel.
This shorter video focuses more on the wall itself. The mural, the process, and what that Bliss wallpaper. I can't stop saying what it still represents to me: open fields (cheesy?), fresh starts/restarts, and those possibility and chances I took.
What's Coming Next
I'm in the middle of getting a video edited right now (stay tuned for that Orange one). And I'm also gearing up for the next PC giveaway. This time it's the Cosmic Orange build I've been teasing.

I'm not there yet, but I'm looking forward to the point when I can do this every month: I build a PC and give it away. That's the whole point of this channel.
give give give to Live.

Check out the shorter Windows XP Wall video on the channel and let me know in the comments: what was YOUR first OS love? I'd love to hear your story.
Thanks for being here. More fresh tech coming soon.
